Since 1 January 2025, people in Pakistan apply for a Thai visa through Thailand's official e-Visa website instead of submitting passports at the embassy. Here is how the Thailand e-Visa works for Pakistanis.

How the Thailand e-Visa works from Pakistan
- Create an account on the official site, thaievisa.go.th, and choose the tourist visa.
- Fill in the form and upload your documents. You don't need to hand in your passport in person.
- Pay the visa fee. For applications made in Pakistan, payment is made at the Royal Thai Embassy in Islamabad.
- Processing takes about 14 working days.
- When your e-Visa is approved you receive a confirmation email. Print it and show it to the airline and Thai immigration.
Thailand tourist e-Visa documents
- Passport with enough validity and blank pages, plus old passports with previous visas.
- Recent passport-style photo.
- Proof of accommodation in Thailand: hotel bookings, or an invitation from family or friends there.
- Financial evidence of at least THB 20,000, such as bank statements for the last 3 months or a sponsorship letter (as of September 2026).
- Return flight reservation and a simple itinerary.
- Employment letter or business documents showing you will return to Pakistan.
Tips so your e-Visa isn't delayed
- Upload clear, complete scans; wrong or blurry files are the most common cause of delays.
- Apply well before your flight: about 14 working days is the normal processing time.
- Book hotels you can cancel, and make sure the dates match your itinerary.
- Use only the official website. Be careful of look-alike sites charging extra.
